Rosario's Church Testimony :

I want to share the good news with all the Brethreen, specially in the Otawwa Church of God.

As its been posted earlier, near to 8 months ago, the "Church of God" in Rosario, was noticed by the owner on their plans to sell the property we been renting for a couple of years. Although the building is VERY humble, even to a third world Country, such as Uruguay, for us is a sanctuary, and a place dedicated to God worship.

The Rosario city Church, is located in a small city, with a few elder members.

In adition, I travel weekly 25 kilometers one way, every saturday, with my Wife Gina, and our 3 childrens.

So does my Brother David, with his wife and their 4 childrens.

This way, we gather togheter 12 bretheren weekly, there.

The church Buliding is in the front of the property, with a small bathroon with inside access.

In the rear side of the property, there is a small house, very humble too, with tin roof, and rustic cement floors, like the church building itself.

Maybe that sound not usaul for your country, but remember, its very frequently, to see chariots with horses, here, used to get sand for the beach, and this way many people get their way of living, also there are many 50's and 60's vehicles still running, and mostly are from the 80's.

This just to give you a perspective, of what I mean, since, when I say Tin Roof, you may think in a brand new tin roof, with big stairs, and colored sides, rather than an old rusty roof.

Anyway, we are very pleased, with a place we were able to afford the rent by ourselves.

When thy offer us the oportunity to buy the place, of course, there was no resourses in the church, so I ask permission, to my Father, Renzo Odin, whom is our General Pastor, to buy the property myself, and lend it to the church, just asking that the church pay the electricity and wather bills.

He agreed, and also the brethreen were very happy, and started to plan on improvements in the building, since, God is to good with us, that any improvemnts, we make for him at church, is enjoyed by urselves directly.

I gather the money, and ask my confidence Notary, in my town, to study the papers, and make arrangments, to buy the property, according to my country rules, and paying the fees and taxes required.

When everything was ready, the owners, arrive to sign the papers and colect the money.

At that moment, they asked me for her daughter and his couple (male companion), to stay in the house in the rear side, till the next days, since acording to the mother, and owner of the building, they need to wait a couple of days for a truck to pick up the furniture, since they were mooving from the city.

I agreed with them, on that date, and complete the payment.

Next Saturday, when I arrived church, those guys were supposed to have left the place at that time, but insted of living, the male was waiting for me and as soon as I arrived, he told me we was not living the place, and that they plan to reamin for years to come.

Well, this was not the best incentive to obey the Psalm 100 to "Enter his gates with thanksgiving" for me at that time.

This was the first day, of an 8 months struggles, with only promises to get worst.

When the meeting was finished, and I told the Elders, they told me about this man (I never spoke to him before that day)

He was an ex convict, with severals entrances in the jail, also charged for traying murder someone.

I ask the police, for asistance, they told me they only act if a Judge order them, so although I was the owner, I have no rights at all (This is Uruguay)

I ask the notary, and he told me the only way was to hire a lawyer.

I did it, and spend a lot of money, and this was ony the begining.

A couple of weeks later, we arrived church, and this Guy cutted the electricity wires, only living the electric power to enter into the house.

Once again, Electricity Company, washed their hands, so does the police, and in winter, all elders, and youngers (there are two babies), were without electricity or heat at church (ligten with candless till I wrote this lines)

Next saturday, we arrived, and the church building, was covered with logs.

Once again I needed to go to the police, and talk to this guy, to remove that from the church, and although they say they have no authority, they told him to move the logs.

This are just a few of the things, the church brethreen have been passing trough this past eight months, but I can testify NONE of the brethreen failed , no even once to go church, since is God himself the one to command us to be gathered once a week.

Abouth 40 days ago, we arrived to the church, and this guy, was with a whole crew of fellows, hammering, sawing, doing holes, and there were some tin roof removed.

Imagine myself, having to conduct a worship, while, these guys, were literally, unscrumbling the building!!

Only God knows, what we been throug.

So I asked David and Margaret from the Otawwa church, to ask the church for prayers.

Only when you suffer on your own flesh, you realize, how important is the support of God intersecion though many brethren!

I did a short meeting, and I left to the police, to ask them to stop, before they destroy the building.

While my brother was living, with an elder sister, he aproched him, and threaten him to take revenge from me.

So next Saturday, we do our meeting, in the sister house, since thet was a deadline, for the date the judge decided, to led them out of the property.

Shortly we find out, the judge change his mind, and grant them to stay for a couple of week more (he changed the date 3 times).

Finally, we return to church, since we understand sometimes, we must be willing to fight for God affairs, and we have a comitment, to be at church, on good and bad days.

My personal testimony, I have not failed to be at church in the last 15-20 yeras, not even once.

The ones, in Ottawa that remember me, they know, I never failed to be at church, although there were temtations, to discover new places in Canada, I needed to be in the holy place, as was commanded.

The third dedaline, arrived this Fabruary 5th.

On Saturday, all the tresspasers remain in the place.

On Sunday, I drove to Rosario, and pass in front of the buliding, and they were there at sunset.

On Monday, the dedline, I was affraid the judge, once again allow them to stay.

My lawyer traveled to the city, and find out they have no left the key, as they must do, so she asked police asistance, this time, with the Judge order, and the place was finally relased.

There is a lot to be done, a lot of unpaid bills, from this guys to be paid, a lot of work to improve the biulding, conect the electricity, cut the grass in the front, but God finally made Justice.

I feel not regret from this situations.

I know for sure, God sees everything, and he is comming with retibution.

The best part, one of the elders, 85 yeras old, he consider himself defeted, with no strenghts, and trough this trayals, he was restablished, and he become once again a support at church, also helping with the preaching, but God healing power, goes beyond our faith, he is asking to be provided with a machine to cut the grass, since he wants to take care of the place, do paintings, so does my brother, whom will do the electricity job.

Now, as soon as we make the improvements, we are thinking on hiring a Pastor, full time Job, to spreed the word of God, in the 3 cities, where we have a church, and regular meetings.
